Tanner

This crazy boy is such a great BIG helper!
I love him to pieces!
He thinks he is pretty cool when he gets to hold Kensley while standing up. I don't really like him doing it not because I think he would drop her but that Benson would ripe her out of his hands while trying to give her a "hoog" hold/hug.

2 months old

I took Kensley in for her 2 month check up her stats:
Height: 21.75'' (26%)
Weight: 10 lb. 7 oz. (41%)
HC: 38 cm. (31%)
She had to get a bunch of shots and was not happy about it. Neither were her caring brothers who had to sit and watch her scream!

The Marshmallow test!

Have you heard of the marshmallow test? I don't know if I did the right time, and I think Benson is to young but I did it to both boys anyway. You set a marshmallow in front of them and say you can eat it now, or wait 5 minutes without eating it and I'll give you another so you'll have two. If they wait it means they will be more successful in life (or something along those lines). So I gave each boy a marshmallow and told them the rules. Benson surprised me and actually waited just over 2 minutes before devouring it. He would play with it then put it on the table and stare at it then pick it up before finally giving in. I think he did pretty good for a 2 year old. Tanner had no problem waiting and got a second marshmallow. Benson wasn't to happy when he didn't get his but saw Tanner getting one.
It was fun to watch them. I was making dinner and acted like I wasn't paying any attention at what they were doing but occasionally peeking over my shoulder to see what they were doing. Tanner yelled upset, "Mom Benson just ate his!" as he glared at Benson when Benson decided to give in.

Benson and Kensley

I can't look at the picture and not smile. Benson can be the cutest kid ever! I just love him!
Getting big!

I have a picture of Tanner at this age in the same jammies and hat but couldn't find it in my files to compair then, but if you look at my blog 2 years ago you'll see it. So cute!
Benson loves his little "Kenzie"-what he calls her!

Ho Ho Ho!

Did you know there are TWO Santa's and they LOVE taking BATHS? Well it's true. Benson thinks it is the funniest thing in the world to put bubbles on his chin and "ho ho ho". He also laughes at Andrew when he shaves and says again "ho ho ho". And if you are wondering about the goggles Tanner is wearing... he goes swimming in the tub. :) So he says!

Kensley's Blessing Day!

Blessed on Sunday October 10, 2010 in Omaha, NE by her daddy!

The assessaries you couldn't really see but were super cute!
Andrew missed pictures before church because he had meetings.

We were lucky to have Andrew's parents fly out to be with us on this special day. Also to have my uncle Russ and aunt Deb (who live out here) be there. Thanks to the stake president to take the time to take our pictures. :)
Deb and Russ with little Kensley

This is actually the first blessing we have done in our own ward. It was different but nice! It was a beautiful day and Kensley looked so pretty in her dress that Grandma Peterson made for her when she was out here in August. Our family is so blessed to have Kensley in our lives and we are also so blessed to have so many family members and friends that are always there for us. Thank you!

Blessing pictures

I could not crop the bottom two down to size. But I went and got a couple pictures of Kensley in her blessing dress. I told the lady right away I wanted a BLACK background so the dress would stand out. So of course she did WHITE when Kensley was in a good mood and smiling the whole time. By the time we did the black Kensley was done. So we didn't even get a good full dress shot. Luckily on her blessing day I got a few good ones before she got fussy.

A Sunday stroll

Looking into Omaha
Holding hands in two states!
Our family of 5!!!

The water at the splash pad was going and Benson could not get over the water that spurts then stops, but you can follow the end of it. (If that makes sense) He kept trying to catch it. It was hilarious. It was a lot harder to see to because it was so dark, although it doesn't look very dark in the pictures. But he would walk forward to find where the water was going to come out and it would shoot out right in front of him. He'd stick his hand out to touch it then it would stop before he could so he would back up. He kept doing it over and over. I was so surprised both boys weren't soaked by the time we left.

Wildlife Safari

It was a nice day to be outside and driving around. The boys loved seeing the animals and Andrew's parents liked it too. The binoculars were fun for the boys to watch the animals too. We usually don't see many animals out here unless they are in the ZOO behind glass or turkeys fawns down the road.

Grandma and Grandpa Bleak came to visit us!

Tanner and Benson wanted Grandpa to read them books every night.
We went to the Air & Space Museum after the Wild Life Safari and the kids were already tired so we didn't pay and stay to have them whine. Instead we took a few pictures inside the door and left. :) We will go back when we have more time and kids that aren't tired.

Smile caught on camera!

Kensley started smiling about two weeks ago at US and not just randomly. And I have wanted to get a picture, but haven't been able to. I took the picture below and thought "I wish she would smile", then WALLA.... SHE SMILED!!! She is so dang cute!!!
This one is cute too!

HE CAN DO IT!!!!!

Andrew started working with Tanner this summer on riding his bike without training wheels. Tanner would do alright, but as soon as he would notice Andrew wasn't holding on he would put his feet down. Andrew started to get a little frustrated, I would a lot watching and KNOWING he could do it but would give up to soon. FINALLY Tanner CAN ride without training wheeling and won't stop. He just keeps going and ENJOYS it!!!! Good job Tanner!

Spooooky!!!!!

I got the boys SPOOKY skeleton glow-in-the-dark jammies. They love them if you can't tell!

Little chef!

Tanner made our last Sunday's dessert ALL BY HIMSELF. He was so cute about it and wanted to do it all. (Just little pudding pies) But for him it was an exciting BIG job. Thanks Tanner they were delicious!

So curious

Kensley is now checking out the sights around her and always looking around. She is growing so fast!
