Tanner getting a hair cut. A little shorter than I meant to do, but it works, he's a BOY!
I hope you enjoy looking at some of the captured moments of our family's life. We are glad to have the opportunity to share our happy times with those we love!
Tanner hasn't been able to go outside lately because of the weather being so cold, that all his energy has built up and all he wants to do is RUN RUN RUN. (I am sure the people who live below us love it) So anyhow, he was running the other day and I said, "Tanner you can't run, it's too noisy, you need to just go slow!" So I look over at him a few minutes later to him acting funny. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "Running so slow mom, not fast, I'm going slow!" So there you have it. He was just running in slow motion. He now does it everytime I ask him to slow down and I can't help but to laugh. It looks so funny. I tried to tape him but he won't do it, so this picture is the best I got!
I was getting ready to take the laundry baskets downstairs to start a load when Tanner asked what I was doing. I told him I was going to take the clothes downstair to wash them. I ended up leaving the baskets to get the towels out of the kitchen and go sidetracked doing something else. By the time I got to the stairs, this is what I saw. He looked at me and smiled and said, "Clothes downstairs Mom!" How could I get mad at that, I mean they were half way down. "Thanks for the help Tanner!"
Andrew was trying to do homework and I was trying to get things done around the house. Tanner was wanting some attention then decided he wanted to watch a movie. We started one for him so we could finish up when he busted out in this pose. We got out the camera to snap a shot. He just looked annoyed that now we were messing with him!
Tanner will always move the bench in the kitchen so he can see what is going on. (He calls it, "My Stool") Tuesday night he moved it over to the sink to "help do dishes" even though they were already done. Andrew and I started to walk out and told him to jump down and be careful. We then heard a THUD and SCREAMS, Andrew and I just looked at each other like I knew it was going to happen. What we didn't know is he really did hurt himself. We went to pick him up and there was blood on the floor and all over his face. We rushed him to the bathroom to get a cold rag to stop the bleeding and to see where it all was coming from. He had hit his nose pretty good and had bit part of his front lip (not bad). We felt pretty bad for him, but he was a good sport who stopped crying and let us nurse him back to health. This picture is after everything was already cleaned up. No broken bones just a hurt little button nose.

The snow was finally wet enough to roll into a ball and stay there. We had tried making a snowman a few times before and the snow would be to powdery you couldn't even make a snow ball in your hands. But on Saturday the weather was okay and we began rolling away. Tanner didn't like having his hands touching the snow long enough to help roll a ball because they would get just to cold, so instead he had fun finding rocks and sticks to put on our "man".

Every day we were in Panaca, Tanner was outside playing in the dirt and watching the builders work! He didn't care where mom and dad were, as long as he had the essentials... Tractors, 4-wheelers, and dirt. Tanner was out watching Papa and some builders use a jackhammer (the tool that makes the loudest noise possible) when he fell asleep on the 4-wheeler. They couldn't believe anyone could fall asleep with that much noise!

We went up to Salt Lake for a few days to just have fun. The boys went to the Jazz vs. Celtics game and about got beat down for cheering for the Celtics! During the day the girls went shopping and the daddy's took the kids to the Discovery Museum where Tanner is dressed up. Then everyone went to Temple Square to see that lights, temple, and Nativity. It was a little cold so we had 5 angry kids. Tanner started throwing a fit until we went and saw the statue of Christ. As soon as we rounded the corner and he could the Jesus, Tanner did not make a sound and would not take his eyes off of him. I would talk to him about it, but he never responded. He just kept his eyes forward. I wish I knew what he had been thinking?! The only time I got him to look away was when I tried to take his picture. He walked back and sat down facing Christ again before I got a good shot.
Tanner got to open one gift Christmas Eve... what will it be?
Sporting, of course... the new pj's
We have to wait until tomorrow?
Forget buying presents, all we needed was a box for each kid.
All tuckered out! I hope Santa comes!

Grandma's birthday was on the 23rd of December, but the party was on Saturday the 22nd. Grandma told the story of her father at Christmas giving an orange to each of his children and every other child that lived in Eagle Valley an orange as well. It was the only time of year that any of them would even see an orange, let alone eat one. So it was a really special treat for everyone. Grandma in return gave each of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even great great grandchildren an orange and a dollar at her birthday party.

We arrived in Las Vegas on Dec. 16 and after getting something to eat we headed out to see a cool little house down on East Lake Mead (a scary part of town) that is covered with lights and Christmas displays. All the kids thought it was pretty neat. Camille said last year it was even bigger and took up 3 houses and yards. Santa must be getting to old to set it all up!
