Wagon rides -3/18

Our kids love the "new" used wagon we recieved! Going down the hills behind the building on 3rd street is the best! It had a broken wheel. Andrew tried fixing it on his own instead of buying a new wheel. But now I think it looks like we have 2 broken wheels when he gets going with the kids. New wheels will need to be purchased. But for now they make do.

"I'm DONE!"

That's right folks!!!! On Thursday the 17th Andrew went to his very LAST day of school EVER!!!! And he couldn't be more excited.... as you can tell! hahahaha!
FOUR years of graduate school down. He just needs to take his licensing exam now and it will be official. Then we need a job to pay for it all!
We celebrated by going out to eat as a family... a little earlier so we didn't run into so many drunks. (It was St. Patrick's Day)

7 months old! -3/14

Kensley is 7 months old!
She is sitting up now... still needs some work.
Eating cereal and some baby foods.
Always wants mom.
Will only really laugh at her brothers.
Still sleeping like a champ.
Loves to shake and rattle toys.
Wants to eat paper. :(
You are getting to be such a big girl Kensley. We love you so much... you make life fun around a house full of boys!

Dedicated to Camille!

My sister Camille makes fun of me because half the posts I do are from the zoo! But that's all we ever do, so what else am I supposed to take pictures of! So Camille this post is for you... and all the other ZOO posts that will come after... You know there will be plenty more over the next couple months before we leave. Then you will most likely never see any zoo posts again. :(

So sweet! -3/8

The boys watching a movie.
I couldn't help but smile and think how much I love them!

The "Boy Cave" in the "Man Cave"

FORTS!!! They are the best thing! I loved them growing up and my kids love them now. I remember rounding up every blanket in the house with my siblings. We would make a fort that went from a bedroom to the living room into the kitchen and dining room. They were HUGE and amazing! (My parents were never home when we did this of course.) I have helped Tanner make some bigger ones... but not like the ones we did growing up. Ah.... the good ol' days!

7 years later...

Today is our 7th Wedding Anniversary!!!
In 7 years...
We have lived in 4 different states.
Moved 5 times.
Had 3 AMAZING kids.
Graduated from college.
3.75 years done with Pharmacy school.
(yes...I count that as a "us" accomplishment.)
I really can't believe how the time has flown. I am grateful for Andrew's patience with me and for putting up with my craziness over the years. I love him so much and don't know what I would do without him. Since our wedding day there has been times that I get annoyed with the little things he does or doesn't do. And over the years I have realized if I look at the things he DOES do for me WE are much happier. Looking for the good in life and seeing all that I have to be grateful for far outweighs the little things... like stinky dirty socks of his that get kicked under the bed I find after I've done laundry. :)
I love you Andrew.
Thanks for 7 great years of marriage... and many many more to come!

Dress-up -3/3

Tanner wanted to get out costumes for him and Benson to dress-up and play. Tanner dressed Benson and then himself. Aren't they so stylish? The suspenders are a great addition to Benson's outfit. I couldn't stop laughing!

Breadsticks!

So Benson loves "BREADSTICKS". No not the kind you eat, but the kind you put on your lips. He is always finding either mine or Andrew's chapsticks off the dresser, out of my bag, the bathroom, WHERE EVER. And packing them around, twisting them up, putting them on. Just as happy as can be with a "breadstick". I try and correct him, "Benson do you mean chapstick?" Benson replies, "Yes my chapstick... you know where the breadstick is?" Ohhhh you crazy kid. It's hard to get mad at him for playing with them... or occasionally making the top all yucky when he is just so dang cute about it!

6 month check-up -2/28

At 6 months old Kensleys stats are:
Height: 26 in. 49%
Weight: 14 lb. 3 oz. 11%
HC: 42 cm. 29%
Kensley had to get four shots (you can see all the band aids in the top picture). With the first one it caught her off guard and she didn't know what to do. The second she started to cry. The third REALLY started to cry. And the fourth started screaming. It was so sad, because they look at you like, "Why are you not stopping them? Save me!" So so sad!
Anyhow, the doctor said she looks good and is healthy but was concerned about her weight, not worried, but concerned and wants me to bring her in for a weight check in a month when I take her back for a flu booster. She looks chubby to me! And eats great so I am not worried. I think because she had been pretty steady on percentile and then it dropped. So I guess we will see.

OH goodness! What a face! -2/22

The face Andrew taught Kensley is above.
The face I taught Kensley is below.
Which do you think is CUTER???
Andrew thinks its hilarious and only fuels her by making that crazy face over and over back to her and laughing. Crazy Dad! Doesn't he know that girls are supposed to be cute? With no teeth it almost makes her look scary with those gums.

Big Helper -2/21

I really don't know what I would do without all the help Tanner gives me EVERY day while Andrew is at work. He is always willing to help me and usually runs "SO FAST" to get something if I need it. I am so grateful for all he does for me. Benson is a big helper too. I am so blessed to have such great kids. Love you guys!

"You put the MILK in the COCONUT and shake it all up!" -2/19

Tanner has been asking for weeks now to try coconut milk. Meaning the coconut water inside the coconut so I finally bought one for him to try. I had to bust out a hammer and nail to just make a hole to drain it. The hammer wouldn't brake the coconut though, I had to go outside and slam it over and over on our steps to open the whole thing for us to eat. I'm sure I looked a little weird to my neighbors.
This is Tanner's response after trying it. hahaha
Both boys enjoyed the coconut itself.
After Tanner tried the coconut water we got a glass of milk added some coconut water along with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. He liked it a lot and sat down in the kitchen on a little folding chair and said, "Mom I am like one of the islanders on the beach." Oh Tanner if only we were sitting on a beach somewhere instead of in 30 below weather!

Baby food. -2/19

Benson kept asking me if he could try Kensley's baby food one night. So finally to get him away I let him try figuring oatmeal baby cereal isn't the best tasting thing. I scooped up a big spoonful and put it in Benson's mouth thinking he'd go spit it out. Nope! He said, "That's yummy mom." and wanted more.... talk about back fire. Lucky for him Kensley didn't finish the bowl I made, so Benson finished it. No food wasted here. :)

Solid food! -2/18

It was about time I started Kensley on solid foods. I kept putting it off because I would be to busy getting the boys what they wanted. But Kensley turned 6 months old and I realized I have to start sometime. So yes... meal times (dinner at least right now) take even longer. But that's ok! She's worth it. :) She likes the food but still needs works eating it without trying to attack the spoon first. And don't you just love the bib. Andrew went on his mission to Texas and when Andrew and I found out we were pregnant with our first (Tanner). Andrew's mom gave this to us. But when we found out he was a boy we decided not to use it. 3 kids later... it's finally getting some use!

Little Kensley

Kensley enjoying what she can of her box of candy. -2/15
Notice her pour red head complements of Benson.

2/16
I just love this picture. Kenlsey is looking at me with a face that cries, "Help". Benson is looking at Tanner like, "Get out of here, I am holding her." And Tanner is just posing for a picture.

The Garden's -2/17

The weather has been warming up a bit and I have finally started taking the kids outside... only to go inside at the Garden's. The kids love to see the fish and they are starting to bring out all of the tulips that will hopefully be planted outside soon (hoping for even warmer weather). We also go up to see the big trains but don't stay long yet because it's much colder up there with the wind blowing. Kensley enjoys being outside and seeing whats around her as long as the wind isn't taking her breathe away.

6 Months old- 2/14

My baby also turned 6 months old on Valentine's Day!
Time is flying by and I can't believe how big she is getting. When I take her in for her check-up I will write what her stats are!
Love you BABY GIRL!

Valentine's Day 2011

Andrew bringing in the stash left on the front steps by who?.... who knows... a SECRET Valentine!
The first year Andrew and I were married we got a Magic Bullet. And months ago while making one of my FAV drinks it overflowed and I didn't clean it out good enough and the prongs started sticking and wouldn't let it blend good anymore. So Andrew replaced it! Woohoo!!!
The boys both got a Buzz Lightyear's and some candy.

The long fun day wore Benson out. He started acting really grouchy and crashed on his bike and pulled it on top of him... and eventually fell asleep. :)
