Fun with DAD

If Andrew has had any time lately he is kind enough to take the boys away to play and give mom some quiet time. I had taken the boys to this park earlier that day with a friend but Tanner wanted to show Andrew how he had mastered going across the blue things that swing when you try and get on them.

This morning the boys went to the zoo to see the "Lions, Tigers, and Bears... oh my". I hadn't taken the boys to see them in a long time. So it was a lot of fun. Especially seeing "The king daddy lion" up close. :)

Hangin' with Mom

Our ward was cleaning out their Relief Society closet and was getting ride of these cute little aprons. So I got one for each of the boys. Tanner was so excited to be able to "help make dinner" he changed and put his right on. They were both good helpers.
Being BORED because mom hasn't wanted to do much lately!

"We're Cowboys Baby!"

"Stick em' up!"
The little pair Benson is wearing were actually Andrew's when he was little. While playing upstairs for a while they both came down wearing these. Benson thought he was so COOL!

Bike riding!

Tanner has tried riding his bike without training wheels a few times but then always gives up. He gets to nervous about doing it on his own. He recently watched a video of his cousin riding his bike without training wheels and wanted to try again. Tanner CAN ride his bike without training wheels but WON'T if he notices Andrew has let go. He will just quickly turn and put his feet down. Andrew was running along side him for 10 seconds or so until Tanner realized it, his face dropped in fright and he stopped in his tracks. So we still have some work to do with him. But he wanted Aunt Camille to see this picture WITHOUT dad holding on!

So sad!!!

Tanner doesn't cry very much... but when he does this is what I see!
Oh Tanner!
First impressions, you probably thought it was another bloody nose because that's what my kids usually have. But nope not this time... SMOOTHIE!
Mine was a lot thicker then his. I tried drinking some and felt it all start to come and hurried to tip the cup back up. I didn't notice Tanner had grabbed mine wanting to try it before it was a moment to late. It all came out ALL over Tanner's face and clothes. Andrew and I instantly started laughing because it looked like a nasty bloody nose. He INSTANTLY started crying, making Andrew and I laugh more because he looked so funny. After getting cleaned up and seeing the picture he thought it was... a little funny!

The Zoo

These three first pictures are in reverse order. Tanner went first then I went to have Benson go. Benson was to short so Tanner tried lifting him up while Benson growled. Still didn't quite make it into the hole. Luckily a good guy stopped and asked if he could take the picture while I lifted Benson up.
"Roar"
Don't mess with this lion.

Zebra skin

I let the kids pick EVERYTHING they wanted to do this day. We spent a lot of time playing on the lions and being compared to the different sized penguins. It was fun though and the boys enjoyed every minute!

Clifford the Big Red Dog at OCM!

They always change the theme in the upstairs of the Omaha Children's Museum. Right now it is Clifford. My kids really liked it.

Tanner played in this boat FOREVER! At least a half and hour. He didn't care about going to see everything else. He would even "jump out of the boat to go swimming".

Benson on the other hand wanted to check out everything. He had fun for the most part. It would have been better if there hadn't been so many people.

A woman was making HUGE bubbles that the boys kept trying to catch. Benson would occationally turn around and say, "Wo Mom Wo!!!"

"O!... we love the Children's Museum!"
We hadn't been in months and the kids enjoyed getting out. I am trying to get them out as much as I can before the baby comes and won't want to go anywhere for a while.

35 weeks and counting!

Well I hope this baby doesn't come to early, but I really don't know what to expect. I am hoping for the little one to arrive in a couple weeks, but that's me. Andrew says 40 weeks. Tanner arrived just over 2 1/2 weeks early and Benson came 5 weeks early. When do you think she will arrive???
Tanner took my picture then I went to put the camera away. He said, "No mom, take some pictures of me now." These are his poses!
Love my Tanner.

So after Tanner was looking at the pictures I took, he looked at his left hand and said, "What am I doing with my fingers? Why did I do that?" As he looked at his fingers and tried to do what it looks like in the picture kind of annoyed with himself. It was so funny to listen and watch him talk about it.

Having fun INSIDE

This morning I made a "Cave" (fort) for the boys to play in. Tanner instantly said that they were lions. But Benson said he was a bear. So a ferocious lion and bear were living in a cave in the middle of my living room. Tanner told me that if I didn't move I wouldn't get eatin up. So I didn't move for fear of my life. :)
After the boys were done being scary, they went and got their pillows and blankets and just relaxed.
The fun of having a brother to play with!

Here they would race back and forth from the front door to the back. I was in the kitchen when I noticed they started slowing down and then would get quiet for a while before running again. So I followed them from the kitchen to find them quickly jump onto the stairs and lay for a minute before running again. I thought it was cute!

We love DAD!!!!

Since we don't do much camping out here in the middle of the country (it is just way to hot and humid in the summers). This is the camp out Andrew does with Tanner. They pull out the hid-a-bed and "camp out" in the living room. Tanner thinks it is super fun and loves when they do it. Andrew will complain the next day that his back is killing him. :) So I guess it's not much different then sleeping on the hard ground.
Giving Daddy loves. The boys love when Andrew gets home and will follow him around for a while. They usually end up wrestling, but on day's like this... they just want to relax and give loves!

Last games of the season

So the last two t-ball games of the season our team only had 4 players because everyone is on vacation. So my friend brought two shirts left by other players for Benson and his little friend Easton to wear and "play" on the team. Yeah they were a little young and didn't end up playing but they felt really cool looking like their big brothers. They threw some balls around.
I love the picture of Tanner above just getting ready to hit the ball. He is so serious and determined.

Our small little team of four.
They could still give a good yell though!
Go Mighty Mariners!!!!
