Twin Eggs

I was making breakfast yesterday and wanted an egg and Andrew said he wanted one too. So I pulled out two eggs to cook, cracked one then cracked the other and two yolks came out... TWINS! I thought it was cool. I had only seen this once before when I was younger so I had to take a picture. It's not every day you get to see twin eggs! I know I'm a geek... but you know you're thinking...."Huh, that is cool!" Andrew refused to eat it even though it cooked faster than the normal one and he likes his eggs more done then me. So I ate the twins... and they tasted the same!

This doesn't belong to our church, but of the Community of Christ "aka" the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Andrew and I thought it looked crazy so we went to check it out. They gave us a tour and we watched one of their videos. In the chaple is where you can look up to the very top of the spirol symbolizing a sea shell.

What caught my attention more than anything was the feeling of nothing! Nothing at all... except for the weird feeling I was getting about the man following behind us on the tour. I mean, even in our LDS visitors centers you could just feel at ease and peace "warm fuzzies". There it was like I was just walking around on a random street with nothing to feel or think about! Luckily we headed over to the Independence LDS visitors center after and welcomed back in our "fuzzies".

Andrew had a break in school so we drove down to see Liberty Jail, Independence, and some other church sites. I can not even describe how awesome it was.

The jail was actually rebuilt, but the floor and a lot of the stone are the original.

First they described the structure of the jail, costing $600 back in the day.... making it a very expensive building. The walls were 4 feet thick. Foot of wood, two feet of lime stone and the middle was filled in with loose rock. The ceiling also had rock on it so if you were trying to escape the rocks would fall down on you. To explain how cold it would have been they told us that after the building wasn't used as a jail anymore, it was used as an ice house. People would cut ice out of the river at the first of winter and it would stay frozen until the first of summer.

Joseph and the others spent most of their time in the lower part of the jail, making it so they could not even stand up straight for months. A audio tape was played depicting words that Joseph had written and said. The spirit was so strong. It would take me forever trying to explain everything. It is definitely something everyone should see. I have never felt closer to Joseph Smith before or appreciated him so much. It was really good for me to experience it!

The day I take a camera he didn't want to get into the songs. He usually has a lot of fun and does all the actions. Then sings the songs all day through out the week!

Every time I clip his nails he thinks he has to do mine. Luckily he doesn't push hard enough! See how hard he is concentrating!

We went and played miniature golf for a Family Night on Friday. Tanner had a ball, Andrew tried to and I had a crazy allergic reaction. We were only about half done when all the sudden I started sweating and my stomach started to hurt. I ignored it and kept playing, it got worse then my throat started to tighten, my nose was like a facet (no exaggeration), and I could barely breathe. I looked through my purse for a Benadryl but had no luck. We left and started to head home when Andrew was about to take me to the hospital for fear that I was going to stop breathing. It really scared me because I really couldn't get a lot of air in and I just wanted to take a deep breathe. It got a little better after about 15 minutes, we ended up getting home and Andrew and a friend gave me a blessing. The next day I felt completely normal!
We went grocery shopping and Tanner was running around tagging Andrew and I when he tripped over my foot and slow motion rolled forward and slammed his head on the floor. He started screaming instantly, I picked him up and it was already purple. This is a few hours later and looks much better but still a little HUGE!

I can't remember the name of this animal. It was the first time they have had it on display. Andrew calls it an alien because it just looks weird like half horse half zebra with a crazy shaped head, huge ears, and scary eyes. I thought it was cool!

Train Ride

Since there are so many trains around us and I have taken him on walks to see real trains on display just down the street, Tanner has really goten into trains. So we thought it would be fun to take the train ride at the zoo. (So worth it) It was a lot of fun and Tanner couldn't get enough of it. Luckily it lasted long enough that he was okay when we had to get off and didn't throw a fit. Thomas and Friends was on TV the other day and I decided to let him watch it, and now it is a everyday thing. Luckily it only lasts for a 1/2 an hour. I don't want the TV being a babysitter, but it cute to see him actually intersted in something now instead of just the random baby toys that every kid gets at first. We also had to buy him a little Thomas the tank engine of his own so he can have it all day long!

It usually takes a while to get my hair dried because there is always a very eager little helper at my feet wanted to do his part! (EVERY TIME)
Tanner loves a good back massage or tickle. He will always just come and lay down in front of us and say, "Tickle please!"

The fun life of Tanner!

Tanner went through a few day phase of playing with balloons all day everyday,

he didn't want to put it down for naps as well!

Andrew was talking to me so I laid down on the bench to just listen and Tanner thought he'd join me, he crawled up by himself.
It is all about baseball and sports! Every day he wants to go outside and throw a baseball, football, or any type of ball. And has to have his hat on to make the experience complete.

We got this bike down the street at a yard sale for $5. It's still a little to big so we have to push him, but when we do he can peddle pretty good. He likes his "cool bike".

Mr. Cool!

Aunt Camille bought him these pj's this summer, but this is the first time he has worn them and stayed in them almost ALL DAY. He didn't want to take them off. Then he found dad's hat and got the camera for me to take some pictures. He would pose then come and look at what I had taken, then sit back down and say picture again and again. It was cute so I went along. They were almost the same picture everytime so I thought I'd only put a couple up!

We found this at Old Navy and it was only $16. He's been going around growling, so what better costume for Halloween. You get a sneak peek at what is to come in a month!!
