HAIRCUT

I've trimmed Benson's hair before with scissors, but this was the first REAL haircut. He just scolded at first then did not want to take his eyes off the buzzers. It was hard to buzz a moving head. I think it turned out okay though!

Looks much better... and "he likes it"!

I cut Andrew's and Tanner's too but I didn't get a picture with all of them. I did get the hair though. You might think it's gross but we had to compare. After I cut Benson's Tanner said, "Look his hair is butterscotch and Dad's is chocolate!" (Tanner likes pudding!) So I made the piles after every one's haircut and compared. Tanner said his was butterscotch too!

Hanging out with Grandma

Tanner had such a blast with his grandma and all the attention she had to give him.
He always looks so funny when he does this, but he loves closing his eyes and sticking his arms out when he swings... to feel like he's flying!

Hooray for Grandmas!!!

We went and saw a 3D cinema at the Imax at the zoo. I think the best part about it was watching Tanner through the WHOLE movie stick his arms out and try the touch the fish swimming in mid-air. There was a couple fish that got eaten by bigger fish... he jumped back for those! :)
Doesn't everyone look so stylin'?

Thanks for the visit mom! It was fun to have you come out and "play" with us!

Church History

My mother came out for a week the beginning of March so we decided to visit some church history sites. Winter Quarter's we'd done before so this time we did Kanesville, Adam-Ondi-Ahman, Far West, Liberty, and Independence. It was a really great trip. I really liked Adam-Ondi-Ahman there is so much history about it. With kids it was a little bit harder to take as much time as we would have liked, but I still would recommend the trip to anyone. We spent the night in Kansas City and relaxed and swam and the hotel. I think the hotel was Tanner's favorite part. He couldn't wait to get there. And of course we had to get some great BBQ ribs at a place I can't even remember. (It's been a couple months!)

Benson relaxing in his own bed... he wished. He got a roll in crib!

5th Wedding Anniversary

It was mine and Andrew's 5th wedding anniversary the beginning of March. We have definitely had our trials but the good times out weigh the bad! I love Andrew so much and I am so greatful to have such a great guy as my husband and father of my kids. I love you Andrew!
I was sitting outside with the kids when he got home from school. He parks in the back and walked through the house to the front, swung open the door (and you can see in the picture! :)) expressed his love! I smile thinking about it. He's a goofball!

The Gardens

After looking at brown and dead plants around us for months we thought we'd check out the Garden's. It was beautiful and they are going to keep changing the flowers the next couple of months until it warms up so we'll have to go back often. The boys loved it and Tanner watched the fish for a long time. A good trip out of the house.

The Children's Museum

Tanner loves these... Benson does for a little bit.

Valentine's Day!

So Andrew isn't much of a romantic (He would say "whatever") but I don't think he really is. Until it comes to Valentine's Day, then he is really sweet. Since we have been married a "CUPID" knocks on our front door and leaves me and now the boys gifts. From roses to exercise equipment I am always in for a surprise. We also never know when the cupid will knock. Andrew doesn't ever let me get him anything because he says Christmas is my time to give him good stuff and Valentine's is HIS day. So he got a homemade card from me. But cupid got me this awesome stroller the kids are sitting in. I never dreamed he would get me and never even dared ask! I was set on another one! As you can imagine I was pretty stoked! Tanner got a shake and go truck and lion and Benson got some Matchbox cars (that he can suck on all he wants). It was a great Valentine's Day! Thanks cupid! ;)

What do you do when it's freezing outside??

I very much dislike Nebraska weather! It is so unbelievably cold here. It's a wet cold that freezes you to your bones. And not only is it cold, it melts away with a sunny day (making me think warm weather is coming) then snows again the next day, and so on. So what do you do? NOTHING! Play around inside! Tanner finds random places to hide and I have to find him.
Where is Tanner???

I got a kick out of this one!

Then here are some other random pictures.

One day they will fill their daddy's shoes!

As I sat at the table and looked down at all the shoes by the door I couldn't help but smile at the boys shoes compared to Andrew's.
