Andrew went to San Diego for 5 days with a bunch of people from school for a Pharmacy Convention. As you can see he had plenty of time to play as well!
Tanner loves basketball and has been going outside everyday lately to play. Him looking through the screen is him saying, "Come watch!" I snapped a picture of him shooting the ball that actually did go in. He can be really good sometimes, other times not so lucky. But hey... he's learning. Today he crawled up the stand and was hanging from the rim. How it didn't tip over "I don't know?" But he thinks hanging on it is pretty cool too!
I was turning on the computer today when Tanner kept trying to push buttons, so I pulled him back and said, "You have to wait!" It hurt his feelings and he ran out of the room crying. He didn't come back in, so not even 5 minutes later I went to see what he was doing because it was way to quiet and this is what I found. Tanner asleep with his head hiding under the pillow....from me! :(
For Andrew's school spring break we decided to go to Kansas City for a few days and play around. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge, highly recommended if you have kids. It has a indoor/outdoor waterpark. Only the indoor was right now, (since one day it was snowing outside.) Arcade, craft making, coloring, etc. It was a lot of fun for us all!
The hotel had a lot of really cool things to do and look at. I think it was probably just as much fun for Andrew and I as it was for Tanner.
The hotel had a story time out in the lobby every night so we went to check it out, afterwards a special visitor came. Tanner was unsure of the wolf at first but then thought he was pretty cool and even gave him a hug!

After swimming one morning we came back to our room and stripped Tanner down to take a bath. He quickly ran over to the table were he had left his breakfast and finished it.... naked!
This big bucket dumps 1000 gallons of water every 5 minutes. Andrew went and stood under it and said it about knocked him down. Kids would run over to stand under it for fun. It even pulled one mans shorts a little bit to far down for eyes to see!
We all had a lot of fun, especially to be out of freezing cold weather and feeling tropical. All inside of course, but it sure didn't feel like it. Tanner went down the kiddy slides a millions times and loved playing with a bucket that he would fill up and dump on people's heads when they walked by. 
These dino's were at the outdoor shopping center just down the street from our hotel. Tanner thought they were awesome and got mad when we had to leave.
You pass the arcade every time you go down to the water park and Tanner always wanted to "Go play games". So one night we went down to let him play around. He loved trying out all the different games and guns to play with. And the best part about it was Andrew and I didn't even put any money into the machines. :) He didn't know the difference and Andrew and I had fun pretending. I know... we are ghetto parents!
Tanner has really gotten into acting like he's riding a horse lately and will turn anything he sits on into one. Whether it be dad, the couch arm, a little stuffed animal, or my belly. The other day he said, "Ride the baby... duh dump duh dump!" It was cute, but I had to make him get off. 
I had been promising Tanner that we would go down to the river and feed the ducks sometime when the weather was warmer. So on the 29th the sun came out and we decided to feed the ducks. We arrived at the river and found the river to be almost completely frozen and no ducks. I didn't want to let him down that easy so I told him we'd keep looking and walked down river for a mile it seemed like when we finally found "DUCKS!" Tanner was so excited, the only bad thing was he couldn't throw the bread very far so the ducks would come closer to him to get it and it scared him a bit. It also became freezing cold again and it took us about a half and hour to walk back to the car!
For FHE we were singing some songs and told Tanner to dance, but he didn't want to bust out his dance moves. So I started making sounds and he busted out with these. Not really his usual dancing style. I did watch Harry Potter last night though... so maybe those are his pointing the wand moves!
Andrew really got into "Do as I'm Doing". I was laughing so hard. I got the camera out to get him and he wasn't to thrilled. He finally agreed to do it again, but was nothing like the first. He says "No" to posting it, so unless I can't get him to agree be waiting for some awesome snapping.
Tanner and his friends Hunter and Jackson (brothers) had a lot of fun playing together at the mall in Council Bluffs. Tanner likes them a lot and will talk about them and Jana (their mom) a lot. Often when we go out driving in the car he will ask if we are going to see them!
Tanner would not take a nap the other day. Finally at about 6:30 pm he got up on our bed and spread out. We tried waking him up so he wouldn't wake up in a few hours and want to be up, but there was no moving... he was out!

The monster I chase around the house. Lately his favorite hiding place has been in the dirty clothes hamper. The first time he hid there it took me a good 5 minutes to find him... for real!
Tanner was invited to a girl named Ava's birthday party. He had a lot of fun playing with kids and all the games. When it was time to blow out the candles on her cake, Tanner thought she needed help and ended up blowing them out himself I think! Sorry about that Lisa!

Andrew was helping me make dinner and Tanner went and brought his chair into the kictchen to watch us work. He just sat there quietly and would occasionally ask us what we were doing. It was pretty funny to us!
Tanner actually happy to go to church because I am in the nursery now. Before he would start getting sad with us just talking about going to church, start crying when we would pull up to the church, then start balling when we would walk down the hall to the classroom. Now there is no problem... except for the fact that I have a huge momma's boy on my hands!
At the end of music time on the 13th, the kids brought treats to share and give as Valentine's. Tanner never trading Valentine's before thought it was the coolest thing. He wanted to carry his bag around all day, but I would make him put it away so he wouldn't eat all the candy. So ever so often Tanner would ask, "Mom where's Valentine party!" (aka his candy bag.) That went on for a week before the candy was gone and I could throw away the "Valentine Party".

In memory of Gordon B. Hinckley I would like to say a few thoughts about him. I heard Sunday night he had passed away and my first reaction was that it was a joke. It almost seemed like he would be with us forever despite his up and down health. We were blessed to have him for as long as we did. I know he is rejoicing to be with his lovely wife Marjorie again. I had the oppotunity to meet him twice and have never felt the spirit so strong in my entire life! What an amazing man who did so much in the time he had to give. It makes me cry to think he is really gone.... tears of happiness... and tears of I will miss him and his witty personality. I know the new President will be wonderful and can't wait to hear of who it will be. But I will look forward to meet Pres. Hinckley again someday! Thank you for making me want to be a better person!
